Jess Durfee wins a seat on the DNC!
San Diego Democratic Party Chair Jess Durfee was elected by the Executive Board of the Democratic State Central Committee to become one of California's 19 DNC members. Jess will serve on the 2008 to 2012 Democratic National Committee. For more info. click HERE.
Now We're Ready to Unite and Win
It has been a Primary Election season like no other, and with a history-making nominee for President and a Democratic tide sweeping the country, the best is yet to come!
Our local candidates more than held their own in the kind of low-turnout contest that in other years has let our opponents slip right into office ... but not this time.
Instead, we're set to square off against the Republicans this November in an election that should shatter turnout records, give our candidates the votes to win at every level, and repudiate the Bush-McCain legacy for good.
For all of you who voted for Democratic candidates in the June Primary -- and especially those who worked so hard on behalf of our candidates -- thank you. This will be a year of change, from taking back the White House to turning San Diego into a "blue" county. Onward to victory in November!
