The September meeting of Lake San Marcos Democratic Club will take place on Saturday September 11, at 1:00pm (social time 12:30pm). There seems to be consensus that both financially and politically California is a mess. How did we get here? It certainly did not happen overnight! This drama has played out over several years. Is there a way to get out of it? We have invited Jeff Lustig to educate us on this topic. Professor Lustig retired from a professorship in Government at California State University Sacramento in May . He is editor of Remaking California, Reclaiming the Public Good (2010). It is an excellent clinical analysis of chronically ailing political system of California. He has written on American and California politics and political theory. He has also taught at UC Berkeley, UC Riverside, Humboldt State University and Deep Springs College. We are grateful that he will be travelling from Northern California to talk to our club.

Lake San Marcos Pavilion, 1105 La Bonita Dr., San Marcos, CA 92078-5221.
